As Radish grows, we’re constantly looking at ways to update and transform our unique office space to make it more functional and comfortable for the people who come in every day.
Meet the dark, tragically underused, weirdly-triangular corner under the staircase of our loft.
Before its upgrade, this strange space housed some awkward, and also tragically underused filing cabinets (um, Dropbox, anyone?) plus some random things we never really felt like dealing with. There was no lighting, and the 30 degree angle in the corner made the space feel small and difficult.
But inspiration struck, as did the need for another small conference space where our teams could touch base, review work, or have a quiet phone conversation.
With less than a thousand dollars, we completely transformed this strange corner of our office into a bright, cozy, comfortable, and most importantly usable space.
Here’s where you can find some of these affordable, and sturdy furnishings. Our quick office redesign cost us a total of $952:
Poly and Bark Organic Arm Chairs (Inspired by Eames, sold on Amazon) - $240 for the pair
West Elm Mid Century Planter - $169
Small side table (Amazon) - $35
Ikea Pluggis Wall Basket (set of 4) - $8
Track lighting (Riley White 3-Light Halo LED Track Kit) - $150
Wall-Mounted TV (Craigslist) - $200
Rug (One-of-a-kind, Ebay) - $150
